With many planning on going abroad for Christmas, Britons have been warned of three travel adaptors that pose a risk of an electric shock.
The products were sold in the UK between January 2023 to October 2024.

Product Description – White EU three pin to UK two pin travel adaptor
The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) stated for the Travel Adaptor TG-TA4: “The product presents a risk of electric shock as it fails to meet applicable safety standards. The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016. The product has been recalled from end users.”
The OPSS said for the Travel Adaptor TG-TA2: “The product presents a risk of electric shock as the plug does not meet the constructional or dimensional requirements of BS 1363. As the neutral pin does not meet the required minimum distance of 9.5mm to the outside edge, the user could receive an electric shock when inserting or removing the plug from the socket.
“The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 or the Plugs & Sockets (Safety) Regulations 1994. The product has been recalled from end users.”
For the Travel Adaptor TG-TA1 (9625), the OPSS said: “The product presents a risk of electric shock as it fails to meet applicable safety standards. The product also poses a risk of fire due to issues with the earth bonding. The product was not supplied with an instruction manual. This must be present with the product to provide the user with the required safety warnings, usage and end of life disposal information. The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016. The product has been recalled from end users.”
People who own the product have been advised to return it
OPSS
People who own the product have been advised to stop using the product immediately.
