British Gas is offering £60 or £30 payouts under the little-known scheme – on top of a £150 gift card is available to members who upgrade to a new A-rated energy-efficient boiler.
To benefit from the rewards, customers must have a Blue Light Card.
Members of the Blue Light Card include those who work in emergency services, the National Health Service (NHS), social care providers, and the armed forces.
The fee of registration is only £4.99 for a two-year period.

British Gas explained it will give people a £60 gift card when they choose British Gas for both electricity and gas or a £30 gift card when they choose British Gas for either electricity or gas.
Gift cards are available for usage at John Lewis, Amazon, Tesco, Marks and Spencer, and Sainsbury’s among other businesses.
Furthermore, members who upgrade to a new A-rated energy-efficient boiler can receive a £150 gift card.
British Gas said: “Upgrade to a new A-rated energy efficient boiler with British Gas, and we’ll give Blue Light Card members a £150 gift card from a choice of retailers, including Marks and Spencer, John Lewis, Amazon, Tesco and Sainsbury’s.
“You can spread the cost of your boiler with up to three years’ interest-free credit with zero deposit. And we’ll give you up to 12 years’ warranty too.”
Members can also make the most of a 20 percent discount on Hive’s energy-saving technology, such as smart thermostats, radiator valves, light bulbs, and more.
People can find offers and discounts on the Blue Light Card website or app.
Eligible cardholders also have access to more than 17,500 discount deals and exclusive benefits, so it’s worth checking if they’re eligible to purchase a membership.
