Britain’s worst rapist Reynhard Sinaga has narrowly escaped serious injury after being targeted by prison vigilantes at HMP Wakefield, according to reports.

The attack on the serial sex offender, who was convicted of 159 sexual offences, took place in July at the high-security prison.

Prison guards intervened to stop the planned assault on Sinaga, who has been incarcerated at the facility since his conviction in January 2020.

Sinaga was initially handed a minimum sentence of 30 years for his horrific crimes in early 2020.

Following an intervention by the Solicitor General in December of that year, his sentence was increased to 40 years.

The serial rapist was found guilty of 159 sexual offences, making him Britain’s most prolific rapist.

Sinaga’s method involved luring lone, drunk victims from outside Manchester nightclubs back to his flat.

He would drug his victims with GHB, leaving them with little or no memory of their ordeal.

The predator filmed himself carrying out the assaults on his unconscious victims.

Many of his victims were unaware they had been attacked, having no recollection of their time in his home.

A source told The Sun that Sinaga is “arrogant and universally loathed” within the prison.

“He was seconds away from extremely serious harm. He is in danger,” the source added.

The planned attack was thwarted when prison officers stepped in to protect the convicted rapist.

Sinaga’s crimes were finally uncovered when his last intended victim, a teenager, woke up during an attempted rape and fought back.

A police mugshot from 2021 showed Sinaga battered and bruised after the encounter with his final victim.

The high-security facility’s inmates include Robert Maudsley, nicknamed Hannibal the Cannibal, and former Lostprophets singer Ian Watkins.
