West Ham technical director Tim Steidten is set to leave the London Stadium, according to a report.
The German joined the Hammers from Bayer Leverkusen in 2023 and presided over transfer windows that saw the arrivals of the likes of Mohammed Kudus. Edson Alvaraz and Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
But the executive has clash with the last two Hammers managers, David Moyes and Julen Lopetegui and will now depart following the arrival of Graham Potter.
According to The Athletic, the Englishman’s appointment has led to a change in the recruitment department of the club, with Potter drafting in long-term analyst Kyle Macaulay.
The report claims that Macaulay has already assumed many of the duties Steidten performed. The terms of his departure are still being finalised.
Though the German can look back on some wins from his time in charge of Hammers’ recruitment team, there have also been a number of costly missteps, especially in the most recent summer window.

Steidten faced criticism from some quarters for the near £150million recruitment drive he led. Mail Sport columnist Sami Mokbel revealed in October that the £25m signing of Brazilian teenager Luis Guilherme raised eyebrows internally.
There are similar apprehensions about Niclas Fullkrug, whose £27m arrival from Borussia Dortmund is not proving value for money.
Meanwhile, Crysensio Summerville, signed from Leeds for an initial £25m, has scored only one Premier League goal in 19 appearances this term.
The decision to let James Ward-Prowse, a seasoned Premier League campaigner, join Nottingham Forest another questionable transfer decision.
Earlier this month, as pressure mounted on Loptegui, Steidten was told to stay away from the club’s training ground. The German’s relationship with the then Hammers boss had deteriorated amid the side’s dismal form.
The same measure was taken towards the end of Moyes’ tenure in east London, due to him speaking to potential replacements for the former Man United boss.
