Tim Tebow has revealed that his Miss Universe wife is pregnant with the couple’s first child.

The 37-year-old college football icon and his model wife Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters announced the news in an emotional video shared to social media on Tuesday.

‘When I’m with her and I see the belly growing, then it just becomes so realm,’ Tebow told PEOPLE.

‘It is just amazing how it also reprioritizes and changes what you put an emphasis on and what you value most.’

His wife added: ‘I feel like every time I say, ‘Tim’s going to be a dad!’ it feels so surreal.

‘I have loved being pregnant. I have gained the absolute just new respect for moms, especially moms that are working.’

The news comes months after Tebow revealed how his Florida Gators teammates used to taunt him about his decision to remain a virgin until marriage.

Speaking in a Netflix docu-series, former Gators linebacker Brandon Spikes said that he would often test quarterback Tebow to confirm if he was serious about saving himself for marriage by showing him naked photos of women.

‘I just wanted to see if he was real,’ said Spikes, who won two national championships with Tebow in the 2006 and 2008 seasons. ‘So I would like, you know, maybe have a picture, a nude picture on my phone or something and show it to him just to see how he would react.

‘He was like, “Come on man! Like, you really get a man uncomfortable!” And I was like, “Oh, he’s serious.”‘

Tebow and wife married in 2020 and are set to celebrate their fifth wedding anniversary on January 20.

After brief stints with Denver Broncos and New York Jets, the Philippines-born star Tebow was only used in the offseason or as a practice squad member by New England Patriots, Philadelphia Eagles and Jacksonville Jaguars before being released by the latter in 2021.

He has also tried his hand in professional baseball in recent years, signing a minor league baseball contract with the New York Mets in 2016 and playing outfield for the organization for five years.
