The Kansas City Chiefs have pulled off yet another great escape after holding on for a dramatic Black Friday victory over the Las Vegas Raiders at Arrowhead Stadium.

While trailing 19-17 with just over 20 seconds on the clock, the Raiders had a golden opportunity to get themselves into field-goal range and snatch a famous win over the back-to-back Super Bowl champions on their own turf.

Yet when the ball was snapped on a third-and-three, Las Vegas quarterback Aidan O’Connell was somehow looking elsewhere when it came flying in his direction, meaning he fumbled it and allowed Kansas City to secure a game-winning turnover.

The Chiefs’ latest nail-biting victory means they have already secured a playoff berth in Week 13 as they eye an unprecedented third straight Super Bowl.

Andy Reid’s team are now 11-1 this season, with their only defeat coming against the Buffalo Bills in Week 11.

Nevertheless, there had already been plenty of lucky escapes for them prior to O’Connell’s shocking late fumble on Black Friday.

Back in Week 10, the Chiefs held on for a 16-14 victory over the Denver Broncos after miraculously blocking a potential game-losing field goal right at the death.

They also got the better of the Denver Broncos in their second outing of the season with a last-gasp field goal, while doing the same to the Carolina Panthers last weekend.

And Friday’s win over the Raiders was the 14th consecutive game decided by one possession that Kansas City has won.

Taylor Swift was once again in the stands at Arrowhead as boyfriend Travis Kelce helped them secure their latest dramatic triumph.

At one stage of the game, Kelce reeled in a throw from Patrick Mahomes on a third-and-10 before turning and offloading the ball into Samaje Perine, who surged further forward.

And Swift, watching on from the stands alongside Kelce’s friends and family, was quick to celebrate the quick-thinking from her boyfriend.

As the cameras cut to the singer in Kelce’s VIP suite, she copied his ‘first down’ celebration as the Chiefs forced their way up the field.

It proved a crucial moment in a drive that ended with Justin Watson scoring a touchdown for Kansas City to put his team into a 10-3 lead.

It is the first Chiefs game Swift has been in a short while – she missed the last two road games against Carolina Panthers and Buffalo Bills due to her Eras Tour commitments.

Mahomes also further cemented his legacy as arguably the greatest Chiefs player of all time after setting a new franchise record for touchdown passes.

The legendary quarterback registered his 238th in the game at Arrowhead, meaning he is now Kansas City’s all-time leader in touchdown passes after surpassing Hall of Famer Len Dawson.

Mahomes already staked a claim to being the greatest in Chiefs history after guiding the team to a second consecutive Super Bowl last season.

The 29-year-old is already their all-time leader in passing yards after racking up over 31,000 and counting, while he is also now just eight wins shy of passing Dawson again to become their winningest quarterback, with the win over Las Vegas moving his record to 85-23.
