Conor McGregor has agreed a boxing match with Logan Paul in India, the UFC legend has claimed on his social media account.
McGregor set social media alight early on Tuesday morning with a statement claiming rumours of a fight with Georgian-Spanish fighter Ilia Topuria were false, before revealing his plans.
‘The rumours of a bout with [Topuria] are false,’ the 36-year-old wrote on X on Tuesday.
‘I am in preliminary agreements with the Ambrani family to face Logan Paul in a boxing exhibition in India.
‘I have agreed.’
‘I will then seek my return to the Octagon.’

The Irishman’s return to the Octagon has long been a point of speculation, having not fought since back-to-back defeats by Dustin Poirier in 2021.
In the interim he has been linked with a number of returns to MMA and the UFC, with former lightweight contender Michael Chandler offering himself as a potential opponent for a comeback fight.
The news of a third foray into the boxing ring, however, perhaps comes as a shock, with Paul set to be McGregor’s next opponent after a professional clash with Floyd Mayweather back in 2017 and an exhibition meeting with Michael McGrane in Dublin two years later.
McGregor appeared in court in his native Ireland accused of ‘brutally raping and battering’ 35-year-old Nikita Hand at a hotel in Dublin in 2018.
In November, he was ordered to pay nearly €250,000 (£208,000) in damages after a jury found him liable of assaulting Hand.
The former two-weight UFC champion has vehemently denied the claims, and released a statement on social media indicating that he will look to appeal the verdict.
He wrote on X: ‘As much as I regret it, everything that happened that night was consensual and all the witnesses present swore to that under oath. I have instructed my legal team to appeal the decision.’
Earlier on Tuesday he said on the social media platform: ‘I was found liable for assault, and guilty of nothing. I will be pursuing all the defamatory writings about me.’
In Paul he finds an opponent who has fought twice professionally, beating Dillon Danis in 2023 and losing to fellow YouTuber-turned-boxer KSI in 2019.
