Former Boyzone star Shane Lynch has become the latest Irish pop star to share his thoughts on controversial Eurovision star Bambie Thug after they represented Ireland in last week’s grand final of the competition.
The 47-year-old singer, who calls himself a born-again Christian, has recently spoken out against artists such as Taylor Swift for performing “Satanic rituals” in performances and took to Instagram to share his thoughts on the non-binary singer.
Weighing in on Bambie Thug – who’d previously been slammed by Westlife singer Brian McFadden in a similar fashion – Lynch took aim at the 31-year-old.
He claimed he is praying for a “revelation” for the singer after watching them perform in Malmo, Sweden.
Speaking on social media, he mis-gendered the non-binary artist as he stated: “I got taught a lesson over the weekend, or certainly reminded of something.
“I don’t know if you’ve seen the Eurovision Song Contest on Saturday night and Ireland’s performance, Bambie Ray Robinson, aka Bambie Thug. Pretty demonic stuff.

“And since Saturday, I’ve been contemplating what I’m going to do with those thoughts, but actually, I’ve been reminded, so I was going to cuss her out and I was going to say all the negative and bad things and wrong things… not only about the performance but how I felt about her as a person.
“And then I got slapped in the face. God reminded me, ‘Shane Lynch, don’t you remember who you were? Don’t you remember where you came from? Don’t you remember what I took you from?'”
He continued: “Not a very dissimilar place to Bambie Thug. I wasn’t too far off exactly what she was or is at the moment, which gave me such a revelation of grace, mercy, and the love of God.
“Nobody’s too far gone to be changed and I thank the Lord for that reminder of who I was.

“So I take that opportunity to pray for Bambie Ray Robinson, I pray in Jesus’ name for a revelation for salvation for her, and I pray for God’s protection over her. We can all be saved in Jesus’ name. Amen.”
It comes after Bambie Thug launched a verbal attack on the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) following their Eurovision performance.
They exclaimed: “F*** the EBU,” in an emotional post-competition interview.
The Doomsday Blue singer went on to add they don’t fully represent “what Eurovision is”.

On the day of the event, Bambie Thug issued a complaint against Eurovision organisers following comments made by Israeli broadcaster KAN.
The remarks warned viewers to “prepare your curses,” and added that Bambie’s performance was “the most scary”.
