Bill Belichick is currently sinking his teeth into a multitude of media roles, but the legendary ex-Patriots coach reportedly doesn’t envision that being the case next year.

The 72-year-old parted ways with New England after 24 seasons earlier this year, and is now contributing to the ‘Pat McAfee Show’ and ESPN’s Monday Night Football ‘Manningcast’ after failing to land a head coaching job in the offseason.

However, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Belichick wants to return to coaching in 2025, though he is expected to be ‘choosy’ as he mulls his next opportunity.

Belichick interviewed for the Atlanta Falcons’ head coaching job in the offseason, while the 49ers’ head coach Kyle Shanahan also revealed earlier this summer that he offered the legendary coach a defensive coordinator role.

But San Francisco was not the only franchise to consider Belichick for running their defense, as Schefter revealed that the Rams also had him on their short list following the departure of defensive coordinator Raheem Morris.

Bill Belichick is 'fully invested' in being a head coach again, according to Tom Pelissero

Bill Belichick is ‘fully invested’ in being a head coach again, according to Tom Pelissero

Schefter’s reporting is in line with a previous report from NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, who said that Belichick was still ‘fully invested’ in coaching.

He’s staying engaged in the game,’ he began on the Rich Eisen Show in July. ‘He’s showing up to roasts. He’s now going to be on ‘Inside the NFL.’ We’ve seen him showing up to different events, in high school, and at the Manning Passing Academy. We saw him at the University of Washington, where his son Steve is now the defensive coordinator.’

‘He’ll be trying to remind you that he’s not Darth Vader,’ Pelissero continued. ‘That there’s more to Bill Belichick. He’s done a good job of that so far through his media stuff.’

Ultimately, Belichick will stay busy this season with his various media ventures.

Belichick has been appearing on a slew of different shows, including ‘Inside the NFL’

He’s also appearing on The CW’s ‘Inside the NFL’, will have a football show on YouTube TV, and will reportedly do a show each Friday with Manning breaking down the forthcoming Monday night matchup.

Some of his recent analysis has proved to be prophetic, as he explained how he was unimpressed with Caleb Williams’ preseason appearances for the Bears.

The rookie went a combined 10-20 in against the Bills and Bengals, with Belichick saying his performances ‘weren’t that good.’

And Williams’ continued to struggle in his regular season debut for Chicago, completing just 14 of 29 passes for 93 yards.
