A BBC blunder left viewers fuming last week when the broadcaster aired the same Homes Under the Hammer episode two days in a row.
On November 1, fans excited to tune into the property series were left disappointed when they thought they’d watched the same episode the day before.
Responding, the BBC put the blunder down to a “scheduling error,” but viewers had already taken to social media to vent their frustrations.
A spokesperson for the BBC said: “We received some complaints from viewers after the scheduling of two different programmes resulted in similar content being broadcast on adjacent days.
“We have looked into this issue and we can see that the same two properties did feature on consecutive days, this was due to a scheduling error,” The Mirror reports.
The statement went on: “We are taking steps to avoid this happening again in the future.”

The episode in question saw presenter Martin Roberts visiting South Wales, while Tommy Walsh looked at a Grade II listed property which had been converted into a church in Cambridgeshire.
It was sold for £218,000 in 2021 and was turned into two flats. Meanwhile, former footballer Dion Dublin visited a cottage in Lincolnshire, which had been sold £180,000 in 2022.
Fans of the long-running series were shocked to fine the same scenes airing just a day later, with many questioning what they are paying their licence fee for.
However, it seems while some scenes of the episode had aired the day before, the episode seems to have been a different edition.

Taking to X though, it didn’t take long for disgruntled viewers to express their dismay.
One wrote: “BBC one showing the same Homes under the hammer 2 days in a row. My nana is not amused @BBCOne.”
“@BBCOne why is Homes Under The Hammer the same as yesterday’s. Is this what I’m paying my TV licence for!!?” a second aksed.
A third fumed: “@BBC so today’s homes under the hammer is yesterday’s repeat. Is this what we pay our licence fee for.”
“BBC showing the same Homes Under The Hammer programme they showed yesterday ffs #JustSaying,” another shared.
Another viewer probed: “@HomesHammer can the BBC explain how can air an episode of Homes under the hammer on Tuesday and repeated the same week Friday at the same time, 11.15. This seems to be happening on a regular basis, come on BBC this is not what viewers who pay their licence fee deserve.”

“Don’t bother with Homes Under the Hammer, this was on yesterday,” another added.
However, one person did point out the show wasn’t the exact same, but that some of the properties had been from the same show as the previous day’s episode.
“It wasn’t the same edition, but it does appear that Friday’s ‘new’ episode featured some of the same stuff that had appeared in the repeated episode the day before, and nobody realised this when they scheduled them on consecutive days. This is unfortunate, but it does happen sometimes,” The Express reports.
