Barclays is offering new customers a £175 bonus if they switch their current account to the bank, but the offer is ending soon.
Switchers will need to have started the process before the offer closes tomorrow, on November 30, to qualify for the cash.
To get the incentive, people need to use the Barclays app to switch their current account to the bank.
Provided they meet the qualifying criteria, the bank will then pay the switcher a £175 bonus “to say thank you”.

Barclays says customers must open a sole Barclays Bank Account in the app and join Barclays Blue Rewards. Eligibility criteria and a £5 monthly fee will apply to Blue Rewards.
Alternatively, they must join Premier Banking by opening a sole Premier Current Account in the app.
Next, the new customer must complete a full switch in the Barclays app, including at least two active Direct Debits, using the Current Account Switch Service.
They must start the switch before November 30, 2023 and complete the process within 30 days.
Eligible customers will then see £175 paid into their new current account within 28 working days.
People won’t be eligible for the offer if they had any open Barclays Current Account on October 31 this year.
This includes, but is not exclusive to, a Barclays Bank Account, a Student/Graduate Account, Platinum Bank Account, Mortgage Current Account or a Premier Current Account.
Failing to use the Barclays App to open the current account and initiate the Current Account Switch would mean switchers miss out on the £175 bonus.
It’s not possible to get the cash if the account is a joint account, or if the switch was requested before the offer was made available or after it closes.
People won’t be eligible if they switch from an existing Barclays account.
Additionally, people must:
- Be aged 18 or over
- Be a UK resident
- Have a mobile number to use the Barclays app
- Have a valid email address to register for Blue Rewards.
