England 7-337, need 98 to win
Four dots to begin for Boland, with Carey up at the stumps, whipping the bails off after gloving two of them.
With no Lyon to capitalise on the turn, this pitch is doing next to nothing for the home side.
Now Boland undoes all his good work with a shocker down leg, it goes for four, and the total required is now into double figures.
Here’s Lawrence Booth’s take…
Australia are still overwhelming favourites here, but the Barmy Army let out a roar as Brydon Carse glanced Scott Boland for four to bring up the 50 stand with Will Jacks and reduce the target to double figures. Even if England lose this, they’ve at least shown fight, which is all their fans have been asking for.
