Asda customers could be in with a chance of winning up to £5,000, with at least 28 of these jackpot prizes up for grabs.

The supermarket has today announced the return of its Scan to Win prize draw on its Rewards app.

The 28 jackpot winners will each win £5,000 in their Rewards’ Cashpot, which can then be spent at Asda.

Customers can enter once per day, by spending £5 or more in-store or online and scanning their Asda Rewards app.

Asda Rewards members could also win coupons for money off festive treats

The instant win prize draw is running under Sunday December 24.

After spending the £5 at Asda, Rewards app members will be presented with a Christmas gift, which they can tap to reveil either an instant Cashpot amount or instant win coupon.

The top prize is £5,000, with Asda also offering other prizes worth £100, £25, £5, £2 £1 and 50p. There are at least 2,310 Cashpot prizes worth £100 available.

Prizes will automatically be applied to the winner’s Asda Rewards Cashpot.

The supermarket is also offering more than 20 instant win coupons across a range of festive products, including £2 off Christmas Puddings, Fruit Cakes, Yule Logs and Turkeys, £2 off Toys and Games, £1 off Festive Decorations and Mine Pies and up to £5 off George Clothing.

Mark Baxter, Senior Director for Loyalty at Asda, said: “It’s already been an exciting Christmas this year at Asda, and we’re thrilled to announce the launch of our Christmas ‘Scan to Win’ prize draw on Asda Rewards.

“Not only are Asda Rewards users in with a chance of winning their share of our biggest ever giveaway, but we’re also spreading Christmas cheer by offering money off vouchers on festive favourites.”

Customers can convert their Cashpot into vouchers to spend either in-store or online at Asda.

The vouchers can be created from just £1 out of the Cashpot.

The maximum voucher amount is £100.

More than seven million customers have used the Asda Rewards app since it launched.

To use the Rewards app, smart phone users need to download the Asda Rewards app and log in with, or create, an Asda Groceries account.

Terms and conditions for the prize draw apply, and not all products are eligible for the Scan to Win offer. The full list of excluded products is on the Asda website.
