Asda has announced a major price reduction on Christmas vegetables, with key items dropping to just 15p from December 19.

The offer, running until Christmas Eve, includes one kg of carrots, 500g of sprouts, 360g of broccoli and 500g of parsnips.

For the first time, two kg of potatoes will also be included in the festive price cut, currently priced at £1.35.

Customers stand to save £3.68 on their Christmas dinner vegetables compared to current prices, with items like carrots dropping from 69p and sprouts from 85p.

The savings scheme has seen a dramatic 176% increase in participation compared to last year

The supermarket is also offering British Whole Fresh Turkey at £3 per kg, a lower price than 2023, available from December 19 in stores.

Nearly five million Asda customers have already secured savings on their Christmas shopping through the Asda Rewards Christmas Saver Cashpot.

The savings scheme has seen a dramatic 176 per cent increase in participation compared to last year.

Some customers have saved enough to potentially get their entire Christmas dinner for free.

The supermarket is reminding customers to convert their cashpot savings into vouchers before they expire on December 31, 2024.

Half of Asda’s Christmas delivery slots have already been booked, prompting the supermarket to urge customers to secure their slots soon.

Shoppers can choose between home delivery or click-and-collect services for their festive shopping.

Customers can modify their orders until 11 pm the night before their scheduled delivery or collection.
