Argos is recalling a children’s Christmas game that poses a microbiological and health risk as it may contain mildew, which can damage people’s immune systems.
Orchard Toys Fun Food Bingo has been identified as presenting risks to people as it does not meet safety requirements.
Argos said: “Please stop using the toy immediately, check if you have an affected batch and if so, return it to your local Argos store for a full refund or contact Argos direct.
“We take the quality and safety of our products extremely seriously and would like to apologise to customers affected for any inconvenience this may cause. No other Orchard Toys products are affected by this recall. This only affects product sold in Argos between 1 September and 23 December 2024.”

The Office for Product Safety and Standards alerted Britons of the recall of the product.
It said: “The product presents a microbiological risk and risk to health as it has been identified there may be a small amount of mildew on the cotton bag included in the game.
“Mildew may pose a health risk to individuals with compromised immune systems, damaged lungs or an allergy to mildew. The affected products do not meet the requirements of the Toys (Safety) Regulations 2011.
“The affected batch has been recalled from end users. Consumers in possession of a Fun Food Bingo with the above stated batch code should cease use immediately and visit the Orchard Toys safety notice to access further information and to submit their details and claim.”
Orchard Toys are offering people a £12 refund or a £20 voucher

Orchard Toys are offering affected consumers either a cash refund of £12, or a £20 voucher, with free delivery to use on the Orchard Toys website.
Orchard Toys said: “We regret that some of our customers may have purchased product which does not meet our high-quality standard.
“The quality of our toys is of paramount to us, and this is why we are alerting customers of the potential risk.
“In order to process your claim we will require you to return the section of the box lid displaying the batch code.”
