Angela Rayner has been blasted by Journalist Linda Duberley for flaunting clothes that “cost more than the Winter Fuel Allowance”.
Speaking to GB News, Duberley said: “I’ve been permanently deprived of the power of speech for most of this week. Let me just give you one example.
“I watched on TV, archive footage of Angela Rayner walking across the lobby in a pair of trousers, which is £25 more than the Winter Fuel Allowance for an old age pensioner.
“Really? It’s trousers worth over £300. £325, to be precise. Extraordinary, extraordinary.”

It comes amidst growing controversy surrounding the Labour Party’s Deputy Prime Minister and her recent expenditures.
The controversy surrounding Angela Rayner has deepened with revelations about a taxpayer-funded photographer.

According to the Express, Rayner has become the first Deputy PM to be awarded her own photographer at a cost of £68,000 per year to the public.
The Labour Party has faced criticism over the past few weeks for various controversies, including the proposed scrapping of Winter Fuel Payments for all but the poorest pensioners.
A Conservative source told the Daily Mail: “Are there any greater vanity projects than the Deputy Prime Minister with her thousands of pounds of free clothes, her luxury free holiday, and now her publicly paid photographer?”
Rayner is also facing scrutiny over a trip to New York that she took with her ex-boyfriend.
The Conservatives have written to the parliamentary standards commissioner, requesting an investigation into her use of a $2.5 million apartment owned by Labour peer Lord Alli.
The Tories allege that Rayner failed to properly register the accommodation, potentially breaching the House of Commons’ code of conduct.
Rayner has defended herself, telling the BBC: “I think I followed the rules.”

She added: “I get that people are frustrated, in particular the circumstances that we’re in, but donations for gifts and hospitality and monetary donations have been a feature of our politics for a very long time.”
The Deputy PM maintains that the trip was a personal holiday and denies any rule breaches.
Chancellor Rachel Reeves has defended the hiring of the photographer for Rayner’s department claiming that it is for the “media and communications department” and not Raynor personally.
