Our Yorkshire Farm star Amanda Owen has taken time out from the rigmaroles of farming in the Yorkshire Dales to share a heartwarming social media update about her children.

The mum-of-nine is no stranger to sharing the highs and lows of running the family’s farm at Ravenseat and fans have got to know her brood thanks to the Channel 5 series.

All nine of the Yorkshire Shepherdess’s children lend a helping hand on the farm, with eldest son Reuben even going on to launch his own contracting business while eldest daughter Raven often returns from her studies to muck in.

Young farmer Reuben even joined forces with his dad Clive for their own Channel 5 spin-off series while he fronted his own solo venture, Life in the Dales, earlier this year.

This work ethic instilled in the Owen children has been plain to see through their TV work, most recently in the More 4 series, Our Farm Next Door.

The latest series follows Amanda and Clive restoring a derelict farmhouse to its former glory despite their marriage ending. But even though the show is on hiatus, the work hasn’t stopped in the Dales – as demonstrated in the 50-year-old’s latest Instagram update.

The Yorkshire Shepherdess shared an adorable slideshow of her five youngest getting their hands dirty on the farm.

Youngest son Sid joined his sisters Violet, Annas, Clementine and Nancy in the first of the snaps as they showed off their mud-covered overalls.

In the next snap, the youngsters can be seen sharing a laugh while getting to grips with the goats on the farm before mum Amanda stopped for a smiley selfie with son, Sid.

The collage concluded with a series of snaps of the Owen children herding sheep into their pens on the farm.

Paying tribute to her children, Amanda penned in the accompanying caption: “Proud of the farmy army,” followed by a series of sheep emojis.

She continued: “Just some of the formidable bunch, the next generation of doers. #yorkshire #farm #countryside #outdoors #shepherdess.”

It didn’t take long for fans to react to the post with their supportive messages towards the family, including one who replied: “Wonderful family with proper family values.”

“They all start off looking like mini Amanda’s then all of a sudden they’re the image of Clive,” a second commented before a third said: “Beautiful loving family, love watching them growing up. Thanks Amanda for sharing with us, can’t wait to see how Anty johns is progressing.”

Elsewhere, a fourth concurred: “Setting your beautiful children up to be incredible adults & cherished citizens in the future.” (sic)

Amanda’s heartfelt tribute to her children comes just 24 hours after eldest son Reuben used his social media platform to share exciting news about his love life.

The Life in the Dales star posted a snap alongside fellow farmer Jessica Ellwood for his 86.1k followers to see.

The 21-year-old was all smiles alongside his new girlfriend as he wrote alongside the snap: “Nice weekend away,” followed by a love heart emoji.

The young farmer’s budding romance comes six months after he announced his split from ex-girlfriend Sarah Dow.

Dow starred opposite her then-boyfriend in Life in the Dales but Reuben confirmed they’d gone their separate ways once filming ended.
