Aldi pulls products from shelves with safety risks

Britons may be stocking up on haggis ahead of Burns night, which falls on Thursday, January 25.

Aldi branches in Scotland have recalled a haggis product as it could be unsafe to eat.

This comes as the supermarket chain shares ongoing warnings for items sold across the UK.

Aldi has recalled Haggis En Croute from its Scottish stores

The recall affects items bought in the chain’s Scottish stores.

Those who have purchased the item should not consume it as it could feature the wrong date code, making it unsafe to eat.

Aldi stated: “Please note that the following emergency withdrawal and public product recall has taken place.

“The product does not meet the agreed quality standards, the incorrect date code has been applied.

“We have removed these products from sale in our stores and are recalling all affected products.”

Anyone who has purchased the product can contact Aldi on 0800 042 0800 for more information.

Aldi has several ongoing product recalls due to potential safety risks, including for two of its fragrances.

Aldi stated: “As a precautionary measure, our supplier is recalling this product due to a fault which may cause the glass bottle to break.

There is an ongoing warning for its fragrances

Aldi shared a warning for a cordless vacuum sold in stores.

Regions affected: Atherstone, Bathgate, Bolton, Cardiff, Chelmsford, Darlington, Goldthorpe, Neston, Sawley, Swindon, Cardiff, Sheppey

It said the warning has been shared “due to a safety issue with the bs dc adaptor”.
