Discount supermarket chain Aldi has introduced new treats that Britons can get their hands on now.

The retailer is introducing an Indian-inspired range just in time for National Curry Week, which begins today, October 7. However, they will only be available for a limited time.

The new offerings include Specially Selected Hand Cooked Bombay Potato Crisps and Spiced Tikka Crisps, both priced at £1.15 for 150g.

These flavoursome snacks are available in stores now. Alongside the crisps, Aldi is expanding its ready meal selection with the Bilash Cuisine Curry range.

This includes the Ruby Chicken Curry, Goan Style Prawn Curry and Paneer & Vegetable Kofta Curry, all priced at £3.49 for 400g. These new curry options will hit the shelves on October 8.

The Bilash Cuisine range offers a variety of flavours to suit different tastes. The Ruby Chicken Curry features tender chicken breast in a rich tomato and onion sauce with honey and chilli.

For seafood lovers, the Goan Style Prawn Curry combines sweet, sour, spice and salt elements.

Vegetarians can enjoy the Paneer & Vegetable Kofta Curry with its creamy onion and tomato-based sauce. Other options include Keralan Chicken, Chicken Phal, Chicken Biryani, Chicken Tikka and Lamb Rogan Josh.

Complementing these main dishes are Indian side options such as Bilash Cuisine Poppadoms (£1.05, 64g), Bilash Pickle Tray (£1.29, 150g), and Bilash Cuisine Rice (£1.29, 300g) in various flavours.

Bilash Cuisine Lamb and Vegetable Samosas (£1.49, 110g) are also available. All these items will be in stores from tomorrow, October 8.

In addition to this new range, and looking ahead to Bonfire Night on November 5, Aldi is introducing a new festive tipple. The Ballycastle S’mores Country Cream (£7.49, 70cl) is now available in stores.

This limited-edition drink combines chocolate and biscuit flavours with vanilla and marshmallow notes. It’s designed to evoke nostalgic memories of toasting marshmallows around the bonfire.

Aldi suggested enjoying the cream neat over ice or as part of a “s’mores-tail” cocktail.
