Amazon has slashed several popular Apple gadgets to their lowest-ever price, including AirPods, AirPods Pro, and Apple Watch SE, to name just a few. The impromptu sale has seen over 150 products from Apple and Beats, which was bought by Apple back in 2014, drop in price.
There’s no word on when the discounts — which are promoted heavily across the Amazon homepage — will end. However, if you’re thinking about treating yourself, you might want to buy sooner rather than later to avoid missing out if stock levels start to dwindle.
AirPods and AirPods Pro have both fallen to their lowest-ever price, at £99 and £199, respectively. That’s a £30 discount on the standard price tag for both wireless earbuds.
AirPods Pro are the flagship ‘buds in Apple’s lineup, offering interchangeable tips for a customisable fit inside your ear, active noise-cancellation, sweat resistance, and a U1 chip inside the case so you can pinpoint its exact location with the Find My app on your iPhone.
The latest iteration of these wireless earbuds was released in September 2023, with the addition of a USB-C port on the carry case. This means you’ll be able to use the same cable to charge your AirPods Pro, iPhone 15 or iPhone 15 Pro, iPad Air, iPad Pro, and MacBook Air.
Older iPhone models will use the Lightning connector to charge.
AirPods offer many of the same features as the Pro models, with the ‘buds intelligently switching between Apple devices so you won’t need to dive into the Bluetooth menu in Settings when you put down your iPad to answer an incoming call on your iPhone, for example. AirPods can also be tracked in the Find My app and offer hands-free access to voice assistant Siri.
Unlike the latest generation of AirPods Pro, the standard AirPods charge with a Lightning cable.
AirPods have dropped down to £99 multiple times before, most recently during the Black Friday sales on Amazon. So, this is a case of Amazon matching its best-ever discount, rather than setting any new records. AirPods Pro previously dropped to £199 on Amazon last year.
AirPods currently cost £129 on AO.com,Currys, and Argos. AirPods Pro are also currently at full price from these same retailers, although that might change now that Amazon has cut prices.
Apple Watch SE sacrifices some of the flagship health features found on its pricier Apple Watch Series 9 models, but still runs the same watchOS software
APPLE PRESS OFFICE
Apple Watch SE has set a record with its latest discount on Amazon.
The entry-level smartwatch, which is available with a 40mm or 44mm screen, was announced at the same event as the AirPodsPro in September 2023. Usually £219, the previouslowest price was £209 — just £10 cheaper.
For a limited time, Amazon is selling the 40mm Apple Watch SE for £199. If you’re looking for a larger screen, the 44mm model currently costs £229 — another record low on Amazon. Until now, we haven’t seen a price drop from the RRP of £249.
The discount is available on all colourways: Midnight, Silver, and Starlight.
Apple Watch SE sacrifices some of the cutting-edge health and fitness features found in the Apple Watch Ultra 2 and Apple Watch Series 9 to achieve its lower price. It can’t track blood oxygen levels, perform an ECG heart-check, or take your temperature.
However, it’s still able to monitor your heart rate, track workouts and record your location via GPS, make and answer phone calls, set reminders, make contactless payments, offer guided meditations, track your menstrual cycle, and measure your step count.
Watch SE offers 18-hours of battery life and 32GB of internal storage for podcasts and music, so you can go running nothing but with a pair of wireless earbuds and your smartwatch.
Elsewhere, Amazon has cut prices on the iPad Air, Apple Pencil, Beats Studio Pro, 10.9-inch iPad, and iPad accessories like the Magic Keyboard and Keyboard Folio.
Unfortunately, you won’t find any discounts on the iPad Pro, iPhone, or any Mac …so if you’re looking for a discount on a new Macbook Air, iMac, or MacBook Pro, you’ll need to look elsewhere.
