Pat McAfee says Aaron Rodgers will no longer be appearing on his daily ESPN show for the remainder of the NFL season.
The news comes amid uproar of Rodgers’ decision to falsely link comedian Jimmy Kimmel to the Jeffrey Epstein scandal, thereby implying that the late night talk show host was somehow guilty of statutory rape. Kimmel has not been accused of any wrongdoing in the matter.
‘There’s gonna be a lot of people that are happy with that – myself included to be honest with you,’ McAfee said to open Wednesday’s show.
The decision was McAfee’s, according to The Athletic’s Richard Deitsch, who wrote that he is ‘certain’ ESPN supports the move.
