A Place in the Sun presenter Leah Charles-King has taken a thinly-veiled swipe at the show for not using her talents in the current series.
The Channel 4 show returned for all-new episodes last week with the likes of Jasmine Harman, Jean Johansson, Ben Hillman, Laura Hamilton and Lee Juggurnauth fronting the new property searches.
Over the course of the past few weeks, Channel 4 viewers have been whisked off to Portugal, France, Spain and Greece.
But despite the sun-soaked locations and picturesque properties, some fans have been more concerned with what they’re not seeing on-screen – or whom.
One fan expressed their dismay at not seeing presenter Charles-King of late and took to X, formerly Twitter, to ask why.
They began: “Afternoon all, it’s Ben again today – have we had lovely @leahcharlesking on this run of new episodes yet? #aplaceinthesun.”

The question caught Charles-King’s eye as she responded directly: “Unfortunately not,” followed by a tearful emoji.
She added: “And I won’t appear in this current new run either, I’m afraid, Placers! But hopefully the next one.”
Dishing a cheeky jibe the show’s way, Charles-King remarked: “Feel free to kick up a stink about it. #aplaceinthesun.”
The same fan replied to Charles-King’s explanation, describing the decision as “criminal”.
“Every dog has its days,” Charles-King added once again before providing one bit of news that fans could use as consolation.
She revealed she has still recorded and “banked” a number of APITS episodes which can be used in the future.
Question marks around the use of A Place in the Sun presenters have been present for years, with the late Jonnie Irwin being the most notable instance.
After going public with his cancer diagnosis, Irwin claimed the Channel 4 show “didn’t even fight” to keep him on the show amid worries over insurance.
Irwin died earlier this year and several of his APITS co-stars have spoken out to pay tribute to the much-loved presenter.
The aforementioned Hamilton said in an exclusive interview with GB News last month: “We are a family at A Place in the Sun, both for everyone in front and behind the camera and lots of us have worked together for years.

“So although we might not see each other all the time, we regularly do chat and we do message each other. We do keep up to date.
“I mean I’m flying out to Spain next week – I’m actually filming for the next couple of weeks – and I’m going to meet with Jasmine [Harman].
“Our kids hang out. So yeah, we are we are very close. Jas and I in particular obviously were sort of closest to Jonnie.
“So having done the show as long as we have… So yeah, we reminisce a lot.”
