A beauty expert shares how to look years younger with three tips

Ageing is inevitable but growing old does not have to have a major effect on your looks.

Qualified beauty expert Hayley Walker from Justmylook believes that women can maintain a youthful appearance by making key changes to their skincare, haircare and makeup routines.

According to Hayley, a hairstyle revamp can work wonders for mature women. The expert said: “As we age, our faces are usually the tell-tale sign of this transition, however, pairing this with the wrong hairstyle is like throwing petrol onto a fire.

“If you’re hoping to take away the attention from those inevitable fine lines and wrinkles, I recommend getting bangs.

The beauty expert recommended searching for skincare products that include Niacinamide

“This will immediately draw someone’s eye to your stylish fringe rather than those signs of ageing, with the hairstyle also adding a youthful appearance to your face.

“If you have a longer, more oval face, bangs will be your best friend. If you have a round face, face-framing layers will complement this shape, with layers being a great hairstyle for achieving that youthful look.”

As for skincare, the beauty guru urged women to seek out one key ingredient. She said: “For a younger appearance, I recommend using products that include Niacinamide as part of your skincare routine.

“This ingredient is great for reducing the signs of ageing and skin pigmentation, helping you achieve a more youthful glow.

“This ingredient is easy enough to get a hold of and is usually found in serums, moisturisers and masks.

“Vitamin C is another ingredient I’d recommend, as the antioxidant helps preserve the skin and reduce the signs of fine lines.

“To top this off, always remember to apply SPF daily. Although this won’t necessarily make your skin look younger, it works as prevention and will benefit your skin in the long run.”

The right makeup routine can also lend a helping hand when it comes to creating a youthful look.

Hayley said: “The saying ‘our eyes are the windows to our soul’ rings true here, as our eyes can be tell-tale signs of our age.

“My number one tip here is to brighten them. Do this by strategically applying concealer around the eyes to reduce the appearance of dark circles and brighten both the undereye and lid.

“Less is more here, so use a couple of dots of concealer, then gently tap – not rub – into your skin.

“Another great tool for brightening the eyes and taking years off your face is to use a nude eyeliner.

“Carefully apply onto your waterline to instantly brighten your eyes and help them appear wider for a more fresh-faced appearance.”
