Aldi is offering customers earlier access to its Too Good To Go Surprise Bags this festive season, with reservations available up to five days in advance.
Shoppers can secure their Christmas Eve bags from Thursday December 19, whilst New Year’s Eve collections can be booked from Friday December 27.
The bags, priced at £3.30, contain a minimum of £10 worth of food items approaching their sell-by or use-by dates.
This extended reservation window aims to provide greater flexibility for customers during the busy holiday period.

Aldi said: “Surprise Bags are made up of Aldi’s surplus food meaning there is a limited supply, so make sure to check for your local Aldi on the Too Good To Go app from 10pm to collect the next day.”
The partnership with Too Good To Go aims to be a part of Aldi’s broader sustainability strategy.
The supermarket also said it is continuing its commitment to supporting local communities through food donations, with plans to distribute over one million meals to charities and foodbanks across the UK this festive season.
National sustainability director at Aldi UK Luke Emery said: “We’re making our Too Good To Go bags even more accessible this Christmas and New Year.
“By allowing customers to reserve their bags earlier than ever, we hope to provide even more people with affordable items that also help to reduce food waste.
“This partnership continues to play a vital role in supporting our sustainability goals, and it has been incredible to see how many customers now regularly use the service.”
Country director at Too Good To Go UK and Ireland Sophie Trueman added: “We’re delighted to help Aldi and its customers save even more food from going to waste across this seasonal period.

“Not only does our win-win-win solution support Aldi in tackling surplus food, but it also enables customers to enjoy products at great value for money, all while making a positive impact on the planet.”
Too Good To Go started in 2015 and now works with over 170,000 partners using their win-win-win approach, aiming to support people, profit and the planet.
Their partnership with Aldi is not the only festive offering the supermarket chain is aiming to cook up.
It recently announced they are bringing back its sell-out festive red wine for less than £4.
