Kai Widdrington has been flooded with messages after the Strictly Come Dancing star shared an update alongside his fellow dancer. The pro was seen back in the ballroom last weekend as he supported his co-stars.
Kai left fans stunned earlier this year when it was revealed that he wasn’t going to be competing in the 2024 run of the BBC One dance contest with a celebrity dance partner. He later told the Daily Star about the decision: “Everyone wants to get a celebrity. Unfortunately, it wasn’t my time this series. Two boys couldn’t have one this series and sadly I am one of them.
“Some of us don’t get partners and that’s the way it is.” The 29-year-old added of his hopes for future series: “Let’s see what happens next year. Hopefully I’ll get one then.”

He’s still be busy on the show, partaking in the group numbers and performing during the musical acts who appear during the weekly results shows. And he’s continually spotted supporting his fellow Strictly stars in the ‘Claudatorium’ each Saturday night with the show’s co-host Claudia Winkleman.
Following the latest live show, Kai took to Instagram with snaps of himself and Katya Jones, who recently left the competition after being eliminated alongside her celebrity dance partner Wynne Evans. The photos showed them looking fabulous backstage as they posed for the camera while also sharing a smile and a giggle.
Kai captioned the post: “Week 10 delivering in every way @bbcstrictly.” Strictly 2024 contestant JB Gill was quick to respond, writing: “Levellllllls,” with flame and love heart eyes emojis, while Montell Douglas commented: “Ateeeee,” with the same emojis.
