Eagles veteran defensive end Brandon Graham will miss the rest of the season with a torn tricep, he told reporters following his team’s win over the Rams on Sunday night.
Graham, 36, was in the middle of his 15th NFL season (all with Philadelphia) and notched a sack and two combined tackles at SoFi Field as the Eagles won 37-20.
But he issued a shock announcement at his locker following the game as he told reporters, ‘I’m done.’
Graham, who has been expected to retire after this season, told reporters that he was hit in his elbow during the game.
“If I had to go out like this, I gave it everything out there on the field,’ he said. ‘All I know is, they aint done with me yet. So Imma’ make sure Imma ‘get out there and be the best leader I can be.’

Graham, who seemed to be in surprisingly good spirits given the news, said he had been previously dealing with tricep tendinitis.
‘This time it was different, he hit me and it stung a little longer,’ he said. ‘And then when they tried to examine me, I knew something wasn’t right.’
Graham added that he called his wife to tell her the news, while his children were brought to tears.
‘It hurt[s], but I’m telling you, Imma be better for it.’
Graham, who had 3.5 total sacks this season, did not confirm one way or another whether this would in fact be his final season.
