With the McDonald’s festive menu launching this week, complete with new items such as the Cheesy McCrispy and Terry’s Chocolate Orange Pie, Britons are already rushing to their local fast food restaurant.
Fans of the chain have taken to social media with squeals of Christmas cheer as they prepare to sample the latest menu. The “Grinchmass” Happy Meal has garnered plenty of fans since its debut.
In a message to customers, McDonald’s stated: “From November 20 to December 31,the Grinch will be making his way to McDonald’s Happy Meal.
“Each limited-edition Happy Meal will come with one of eight Grinch and Friends toys, featuring adorable plush Christmas decorations and Grinch family card games or the exclusive ‘Twelve Days of Grinchmas’ tale.

“The Grinch will also be visiting McDonald’s locations nationwide to meet families in person and help them get in the Christmas spirit – who knew the Grinch could be so jolly?”
McDonald’s official website reads: “See The Grinch on the box, looking your way, inviting your little one to come and play. For your little one, it will be a delight. Plus a pop-out Santa hat – oh what a sight!”
Social media posts by Newfoodsuk this week revealed the new festive Happy Meals, complete with its Grinch-esque green packaging and fluffy Grinch toy.
On Facebook, this announcement amassed a whopping 29,000 likes and 17,700 comments as fans of the festive film flocked to the post.
The festive food has already become a hit with both children and adults alike.
One stated: “We went in yesterday and a random lady walked past our table and gave the decoration to our kids, I must say it’s pretty cute!”
A second stated: “My two-year-old loves the Grinch, so much so we have Grinch decorations this year for him. He will be thrilled!”
A third rejoiced, tagging a loved one: “I know three little boys that would love these!”
But it appears that the Grinch Happy Meal is not reserved for youngsters, with one older customer admitting: “I’m an adult and I want one!”
A whole host of grown-ups seconded this. One said: “Me too. Love the Grinch.”

Another McDonald’s fan tagged a fellow fast food enthusiast in the comments, stating: “I’ll be so excited if you walked through the door holding this after work.”
“We are going to have to go get us all a Happy Meal, look,” cried another. “Looks like we’re getting Happy Meals tomorrow,” a social media user said.
Even those who aren’t crazy about McDonald’s want to get their hands on the festive find. One stated: “Not even a McD’s fan but I want a Grinch Happy Meal.”
Available for around £3.49, a Happy Meal contains a choice of Fish Fingers, Chicken McNuggets, Cheeseburger, Hamburger or Veggie Dippers, with an Apple and Grape bag, Cucumber Bag or Orange, plus drink options including water, milk or Fruit Shoot.
The Grinch Happy Meal joins a line-up of returning favourites and other festive additions, all available now.
