CCTV footage captured the terrifying moment a leopard attacked a pet Labrador outside a hotel in Rajasthan, in northwestern India, on November 14.
Mala Shah, owner of Forest Eco Lodge in Mount Abu, where this footage was recorded, told Storyful her dog, Rocky, was let outside around 7:30 am to go to the bathroom. She said after a few minutes she heard fighting.
“I jumped out of my bed and screamed, seeing a leopard holding Rocky. The leopard heard me and ran away,” Shah said.
The video shows the moment the leopard pounces on Rocky, holding him down as it bites his neck. Shah can be seen opening the door, which prompts the leopard to release the dog and run away. The dog is able to stand up and make his way inside. Credit: Mala Shah via Storyful
