Blasting Zach Bryan over his hairline, height, a 2023 arrest as well as allegations of infidelity and sexually transmitted diseases, Barstool Sports’ Dave Portnoy has escalated his public feud with the country singer by releasing a diss track.
Portnoy co-hosts a podcast with Bri Chickenfry (real name: Brianna LaPaglia), who was romantically involved with Bryan from the summer of 2023 until last month, when he revealed their breakup on Instagram.
LaPaglia has since publicly claimed she was blindsided by the news, which is what prompted the attacks from Portnoy and Barstool.
‘Itty bitt Zach, s***ty s****ty tats, ugly in the face, there’s no cure for that,’ Portnoy rhymes in one verse.
‘How lucky is Bri to be free of ZB and his STDs?’ Portnoy’s fellow rapper and podcast co-host Josh Richards sings.

Titled, ‘Smallest Man’ in an apparent reference to a Taylor Swift song, the track is more than five minutes long and got a positive reaction from Portnoy’s loyal Stoolies online.
‘Spitting bars Dave!’ one fan wrote.
Another remarked ‘Portnoy’s flow has improved significantly,’ suggesting this was not the media mogul’s first attempt at rapping.
Other attacks in the diss track include the allegation that Bryan’s ‘whole band’ hates him, and a claim that Bryan has a problem with alcohol.
‘From the looks of all your Tweets, I’d say you got a booze problem,’ one lyric went. ‘Such an alcoholic, alcohol has a ‘you’ problem.’
And then there was a verse about Bryan’s 2023 arrest for allegedly interfering with a traffic stop. Not only did Portnoy and Richards shame the singer for being detained, but also included embarrassing police-recorded audio from Bryan’s arrest.

‘I would get back in my truck right now if you let me out of these handcuffs,’ Bryan is heard telling an Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper in September of 2023. ‘If you don’t, it’s gonna be a mistake, sir.’
Portnoy’s attacks on Bryan’s height and his hairline were curious, considering these are issues the 47-year-old aspiring rapper has faced himself.
In fact, Portnoy has admitted to receiving a hair transplant in the past and is seen on HairDr.com endorsing Leonard Hair Transplant Associates.
And then there is Portnoy’s height, which he claims is 5-foot-10, although there remains scepticism about that.
In any case, Portnoy didn’t feel his own stature precluded him from rapping about Bryan’s, which the Barstool Founder estimates to be around 5-foot-5 or 5-foot-6.
