Sharon and Keanu’s wedding drama
Christmas Day sees Sharon and Keanu getting ready for their wedding at No 43 with Zack and Martin. But the bride-to-be is also doing her best to mask her guilt as she continues to conceal the truth about Albie’s paternity.

At the church, Sharon is undoubtedly a vision in white as she walks down the aisle with Albie in tow. But just as she and groom Keanu are about to say, “I do”, Phil arrives on the scene. Just what does he have to say for himself?
Surprise visitor for Suki
Suki, meanwhile, is preparing to leave Walford, but a surprise visitor stops her in her tracks. Who has turned up?
Elsewhere, it’s all rather tense between Stacey and Jack as she collects Charli ahead of the Slaters’ family lunch. Later, Suki arrives on the scene to announce that she’s definitely leaving, only to then receive a panicked call from Vinny, which results in her returning to No 41…
Bernie wants to confront Phil
Despite waking up at No 23B with no heating of electricity, Bernie tries to put on a brave face. But after an emotional call with Karen, she pleads with Keanu to talk to Sharon, so that their mum can return home.
However, Keanu knocks Bernie back and also uninvites her to the wedding because he fears that his part in Albie’s abduction will be exposed. But summoning up some courage, Bernie decides that what she needs to do is confront Phil…
George’s actions upset Elaine
Anna and Gina join Cindy and the Beales for Christmas dinner. But when Cindy learns that George is on his own in the Vic prepping for the wedding reception, she secretly heads over to invite him for a drink.
But Ian and Elaine are both set to become jealous as Cindy and George take a trip down memory lane. Sensing that Elaine is upset, George improvises and lies that he’s booked a romantic trip away in a hotel.
Lola’s new message inspires Phil
Following the events at the wedding where he turned up at the ceremony, Phil heads to No 55 to mark Christmas with the rest of his family.
One gift on the big day is the Mitchells receiving a surprise video message from Lola, who reveals that Jay and Honey are running the London marathon. With Lola’s words about family resonating with him, Phil heads over to the Vic – and perhaps into danger?
Fatal cliffhanger in the Queen Vic
And so, we reach the well-publicised crunch point in the Queen Vic, where Denise, Kathy, Linda, Sharon, Stacey and Suki are all seeking solace following the events of the day.
What none of them can anticipate is that their lives will be changed forever and in an instant as a Walford male will meet his maker in the pub. But the identity of the guy in question will only be revealed on the night of broadcast.
Can Elaine unite the Square?
OK, so we now move on to the drama that takes place after Christmas Day. And when Elaine arrives home from her minibreak on Thursday 28 December, she’s shocked to learn about the events that took place on Christmas Day.
The residents, too, are trying to come to terms with it all – but when one Walford resident overhears something she shouldn’t, she can’t resist disseminating the gossip.
By Friday, Elaine is forging ahead with a plan to bring everyone together – against Anna and Gina’s advice. But with emotions running high, it’s fair to say that events don’t go to plan.
Whitney is struggling
Also post-Christmas, Whitney will be seen being woken by Ashton’s cries after he’s triggered by noises outside the house.
Whit is quick to console him, but there’s evident tension between her and Zack, who’s struggling to connect with Ashton in the same way as she is.
